1. A senior move manager serves as the single contact point for moving your senior to independent living communities, assisted living communities, nursing home, or just making an in-house move.
2. A senior move manager visit both homes to evaluate space and plan the layout accordingly.
3. We coordinate the move with Realtors, custom closet installers, painters, and decorators.
4. Bright Transitions coordinates the services of a mover, estate sales, charity pickup, rubbish removal, house cleaning, cleanouts, etc.
5. Bright Transitions will establish a time line for the relocation.
6. Bright Transitions will obtain measurements (or already is familiar with the destination) to optimize the spacing and layout of furniture to maximize the floorplan.
7. Bright Transitions are experts at downsizing and can help you sort the contents of the present home (discarding items at the senior’s discretion).
8. We arrange for the moving company to pack and transport furnishings and household items.
9. We execute address changes, utilities (phone, electric, cable) and newspaper delivery.
10. We notify physicians’ offices about the move.
11. We meet and assist movers on moving day.
12. Bright Transitions assists to oversea movers as they pack contents of the home.
13. Bright Transitions meets and assists to direct movers as they unload the truck at the new home.
14. Bright Transitions unpacks all boxes and puts away belongings.
15. Bright Transitions removes all packing materials and cartons.
16. We connect telephone, T.V., lamps, clocks and computers.
17. Bright Transitions sets up the kitchen, living room, and bathrooms so that the senior is comfortable right away.
18. Bright Transitions will make the beds.
